Re: HELP! a blue screen that says WARNING! your're in danger!
Sounds to me like you got infected by a fake anti-virus program.
From what I have experienced, you have three options: 1) Follow the instructions found here and make a new thread in the virus/trojan/spyware help forum and wait for their assistance (be patient as they are very busy), 2) do a clean reinstall of your operating system (be sure to completely wipe the hard drive with a program like dban before reinstalling your OS), or 3) try downloading an antivirus program on another computer (save the file, don't run it) and then move the executable to the infected computer via a thumb/flash drive and install it and run it while in safe mode (it is also a good idea to rename the file while you have it on the computer you downloaded it to as some malware will detect and stop/delete installation files for valid antivirus programs). Also, no matter what you decide to do, I highly suggest that you back up any files you want to keep (when you do this, copy and paste the individual files to whatever media you are backing them up to in order to minimize the risk of copying an infected file). |
