Cry Thanks for nothing

I posted nearly two full weeks ago with a problem.

Vundo Variant. MBAM says I'm clean, but SAS finds infections

No response.

I waited eight days, and bumped the post once.

No response.

Now, my computer is compltely frozen, and I can't even start it up properly in safe mode before it crashes.

I can appreciate that the experts on here are volunteers, and that you take time out your schedules to try and help us. I am appreciative, really.

But at the same time, I think it is irresponsible to indicate that you have the capacity to help people when clearly this forum is being overwhelmed by posters, and you do not have adequate time to devote to everyone.

I could have paid for $90 fix from McAfee while I still was able to log onto the internet. Instead, because I trusted the people here, I am now faced with the prospect of paying hundreds more to either wipe my hard drive clean, or buy a new computer.

So, once again, thanks for nothing.

Re: Thanks for nothing

Hello

I am not sure why your bumping this thread, since it is not related to malware removal.

When following the New Instructions sticky, we make it quite clear that we offer free help and if the problem is urgent(requiring immediate help )then we recommend you take the machine to a local technician.

Quote:
How Soon Can I Expect Help?

Please be considerate of the fact that the people helping you are all volunteers, and in many cases usually have a job, and a limited amount of time to help, and therefore can only do so much. Also please note that there are many more people in need of assistance than there are trained staff members who may assist. Patience for this free assistance is required. If there is an immediate need, please take the machine to a local technician.
We make it perfectly clear that there are more users requesting help than there is helpers, it is your decision as to where you seek that help, knowing full well that the wait may be of some considerable time, if seeking help in this forum

As to paying Mcafee, again that is choice you have made, Mcafee virus removal support are generally given very little training and we know at times they were using third-party tools, such as MalwareBytes Antimalware, as too were Norton.

You do not have to pay hundreds of dollars to format(or restore to factory settings), these things can be done by yourself in less than one hour, if your machine is a HP/Dell, then you can restore to factory settings, without the need to pay a local technician.

I understand your frustration, but as we quite clearly state, there is only so much we can do, and, we have help many thousand of users in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

As you have two threads open in this forum, and, referring to forum rules:

Quote:
MULTIPLE POSTING

This refers to posting the same question or same replies in multiple areas of the site (also called flooding). Please only post only once. If you feel you have posted in the wrong forum, contact a Moderator or Manager, who will move the post for you. This also includes the creation of multiple new threads on the same or similar topics and sending PM's continuously to one or more Staff members.
If you wish to seek help at TechSupportForum, then i suggest you bump the other opened thread, as this thread is closed as per forum rules.

Best wishes.
