I'm not sure if I am infected or not. 64bit Vista

System;
Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit
IE8 64bit, Avg 8.5 paid updated today, Spybot S&D updated 7-15-09, Windows Defender using Windows Auto Update.

I started by reading the security risks from unpatched media players and found I didn't have a Java applet in control panel or installed on the machine. I suspected this was because of something maliscious getting in.
At first I posted in General Security "I think I may be compromised" right away out of panic I guess. Then I read if you think your computer is infected and have followed those instructions which leads to this post.

I have no specific problems to point to, it was the missing Java that made me think something was off. I have 64bit Java now per tetonbob. The Secunius scan indicated that there was a problem with Java not loadiing and the scan went on for minutes w/o any result.

dds gives me a message of; This tool does not support your Operating System Press any key to continue...

The Ark.zip File is the one from GMER scan.

I did a spybot, and AVG scan this morning with nothing found

I also just noticed when I subscribed to this thread that I was subscribed to 11 threads when I only chose about 3 or 4 to be subscribed to.

Bump please.

I resolved the thread subscription issue myself.

Bump Please

Please read the OP. The thread subscription issue was not a part of the problem. I still wonder why the dds would not run and if I have some surreptitious program on my computer.
Thank You
