I'm puzzled, please help

Hi folks. I can't figure out what is going on with my computer. The issue is when I try to log into windows live messenger. I tried to sign in and all of a sudden the sign in screen looked different, it didn't remember my name or password anymore and when I typed it in there was a huge lag of 30 secs or more where I would type and the text would show up later.

Anwyas I ran my spybot s&D and my AVG free version, I'm a ***** for free things and nothing came up. So I reset my IE and erased all cookies and history, that didn't work.

Then I decided I would just remove MSN messenger and the whole Windows Live from control panel add and remove programs. When I tried this I could remove compnents of the windows live such as the sign up however the bulk of the program Live Essentials would not. When I click on change/remove I get a blip of a box on the screen and that's it.

I'm lost, I don't know what to do. I can't get on my messenger and it's my way of communicating with friends back home. I was going to remove windows but my cd drive has not worked for a year or so so O can't even wipe everything and start from square one. I'm lost, help

Re: I'm puzzled, please help

Oh yes the error message i get when i try to sign in is Windows Live messenger failed to sign in because the service is temporarily unavalible, but it's been going on for a couple weeks. Oh and if this helps I can't read my emails on this particular computer. I can get into my hotmail inbox but I can't open the emails, I can still send them. But I can read it on other people's computers.

Re: I'm puzzled, please help

Bump, please

Hey guys I haven't stolen my Win XP. I can't rewrite it because my cd rom is mucked up even though I have my disks. This is driving me crazy, I am trying to talk to people back home on my messenger that are a thousand miles away. I don't have a home phone so this is fairly important I get this up and running. I know you guys have a lot to do and you are doing this for free. I'm not one to take that for granted but if this is a virus or spyware that is causing this please help. I have exhausted all my knowledge. Thank you for any and all help.
