random clicking sound

I'm posting this here because i suspect it is a trojan related problem.

Running Vista Ultimate.

I'm hearing that windows explorer button click sound recurring about every 5 seconds. Constantly. You know, the little mouse click sound that plays whenever you hit the back button on your browser or whatever. Well it's clicking by itself, as if something is running in the background.

Anyhow, it's annoying and I have seen one or two people complain about similar problems. I'm looking into some posted solutions from other threads, but i thought it'd be a good idea to make a new thread specific to my problem.
