Internet search links being redirected, need help!
Hello. For a few days now I've been trying to use any possible anti-spyware tools such as Spyware S&D, and Malwarebytes. They have found spyware on my computer, but every time the tools delete the spyware on my computer, new ones would just show up afterwords. I came to this forums in search of a solution and help. I thank you for taking the time to help me solve my problem.
Here is the log that HiJackthis! made after scanning my computer: Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 9:10:32 PM, on 6/26/2009 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\WINDOWS\RTHDCPL.EXE C:\Program Files\Symantec\Norton Ghost 2003\GhostStartTrayApp.exe C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\CLI.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe M:\My Documents\Vista Inspirat 2\RocketDock\RocketDock.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Vivian\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Update\GoogleUpdate.exe C:\Program Files\Symantec\Norton Ghost 2003\GhostStartService.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\cli.exe C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\cli.exe C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuauclt.exe C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\NOTEPAD.EXE O2 - Re: Internet search links being redirected, need help!
Hello and Welcome to TSF.
We no longer use HijackThis as our initial analysis tool. We want all our members to perform the steps outlined in the link I'll give you below, before posting for assistance. There's a sticky at the top of this forum, and a Quote:
------------------------------------------------------ Please follow our pre-posting process outlined here: NEW INSTRUCTIONS - Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help After running through all the steps, you shall have a proper set of logs. Please post them in a new thread, as this one shall be closed. If you have trouble with one of the steps, simply move on to the next one, and make note of it in your reply. Please note that the Virus/Trojan/Spyware Help forum is extremely busy, and it may take a while to receive a reply. ------------------------------------------------------ |
