gxvxc virus
Ok.. I know, I read the first sticky.. BUT.. I have used the MRT from windows website, it finds nothing, I have used and run Spybot S&D and it finds nothing, I have used kaperspy anti-virus and it finds nothing..
I run Zone Alarm Security Suite, it finds the "gxvxc.dll" in memory with the option to delete on reboot.. I do, and it comes back... I have tried to use some of the suggested MRT removal tools but my ZA pops up warning that the program might not be good.. suggestions? I have windows XP Pro, I've updated for most recent security fixes in as little as a couple days ago. I've taken off anything that was like Torrent, or Steam or such.. I've even edited my registry looking for "gxvxc" and deleted them.. and I still have the thing coming back and I also get redirected with my browser unless I copy and paste or directly type the web address into the address line... Let me know if you need anything more...

Hello and Welcome to TSF.
We want all our members to perform the steps outlined in the link I'll give you below, before posting for assistance. There's a sticky at the top of this forum, and a Quote:
------------------------------------------------------ Please follow our pre-posting process outlined here: NEW INSTRUCTIONS - Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help After running through all the steps, you shall have a proper set of logs. Please post them in a new thread, as this one shall be closed. If you have trouble with one of the steps, simply move on to the next one, and make note of it in your reply. Please note that the Virus/Trojan/Spyware Help forum is extremely busy, and it may take a while to receive a reply. ------------------------------------------------------ |
