My Computer is Completely Inoperable

Hi everyone, a couple of months ago a website I own got hacked and when I was checking it, I stupidly allowed a self-replicating virus to embed itself on my computer. Could not get rid of it. The file is my name: "first.last.exe".

I paid a guy $150 to tell me I needed to reformat my hard drive. He was able to eliminate all start-up programs and get my data off though onto a storage drive which was cool. Prior to him, I posted my HJT log on another forum site I have used over the years and got no response. My computer was basically working for a while, but after 10-15 minutes I would get the blue screen (forgot what the actual error message was).

I have been using a relative's (who is out of the country) computer and have kind of just put this whole thing off. This morning I was able to access my Outlook address book to get a friend's number off my computer. But when I went back in after rebooting, it appears I cannot access any programs. (Tried to open Outlook Exp. again and cannot).

I'm guessing there is nothing I can do now. This thing has just made my computer inoperable. But I thought I would just throw this out there and try to get some suggestions, if any.

Thanks
