Infection Daonol 64bit XP

Hi, my antivirus (Avira) found this infection (Daonol) than ask me what to do. I try delete and send to quarantine but neither works.

I tried to run the DDS tool but it said does not support my operating system (Win XP64)

What can I do?

Hi,

Sorry for the delay,

Please do the following:

Download OTS.exe to your Desktop

Double click OTS to start the program. Make sure you close all other programs and don't use the PC while the scan runs.
Now click the Run Scan button on the toolbar. Make sure not to use the PC while the program is running or it will freeze.
When the scan is complete Notepad will open with the report file loaded in it.
Click the Format menu and make sure that Wordwrap is not checked. If it is then click on it to uncheck it.

Use the Add Reply button and post the information back here in an attachment. I will review it when it comes in. The last line is < End of Report >, so make sure that is the last line in the attached report.

Make sure you attach the report in your reply. If it is too big to upload, then zip the text file and upload it that way

Hi,

My apologies.

As you are running a 64bit system, there is an extra box for you to tick off...

please do the following

Close ALL OTHER PROGRAMS.
Double-click on OTS.exe to start the program.
Check the box that says Scan All Users
Check the box that says 64 bit
Under Additional Scans check the following
File - Lop Check
File - Purity Scan
Evnt - EvtViewer (last 10)
