Invisible programs opening and closing, must be malware

Thank you and Salutations!

Discovery: My friend gave me audio files to make my computer sound more appealing than the typical audio. However when I attached audio to Opening Programs and Closing Programs, then the computer has began to play them both in quick succession roughly around every ten seconds. Even, when there is no applications running.

Jist: I'm concerned if malware is steadily downloading unwanted content into my computer by this/these programs constantly closing and opening.

GMER would not let me click on the buttons to scan my computer. It worked, all the tabs worked fine, but the buttons to scan, copy, and save were unclickable.
