XP internet problem[moved from xp]
I have a computer here with XP home edition. The computer will not connect to microsoft.com or any microsoft website but it connects to other sites just fine. MSN and other com software seems to be working fine as well. I've done the AVAST BART AV scan outside of the Windows environment and found many viruses. I had them all deleted but the problem still remains. I've tried running the network config with no effect. I'm attaching a Hijackthis log tho I don't see anything suspicious.

We no longer use HijackThis as our initial analysis tool. We want all our members to perform the steps outlined in the link I'll give you below, before posting for assistance. There's a sticky at the top of this forum, and a Quote:
