Virut question
So yeah, I had Virut, pretty much "game over" as some people say here. I was going to get a reinstallation and reformat, when my last hope was to run various so called "Virut removers", such as the one from AVG. I ran 2 of them, in safe mode, at the same time. None of them found anything, yet the virut kept infecting files, in total, about 10, one of them my loved Foobar, for music. I did a last System Restore, my 4th one, and right now, I retarted everything blah blah checking internet connection whats ur pc's name and stuff, did all that. Im in the desktop, install AVG again, and to my surprise, no more Virut alerts. This really surprised me, as my last 3, as soon as I installed AVG, I would get alerts of Virut infecting my files. I thought, well maybe on the restart, I will get the warnings, well no, I didn't, I haven't got one single warning, I could even download and install Foobar again. I'm confused. Is it possible its gone? I mean, Like I said, I ran those Virut removers, which they showed up as "0 virut infections" and "No virut detected". How can I check if I still have Virut? Please answer as soon as possible, I would like to get black to my life of being able to put music on my Ipod without fears http://www.techsupportforum.com/imag...ies/1-sigh.gif

Re: Virut question
I just ran an AVG test on my computer, and to my surprise, no Virut found, this is some great news for me. I'm posting here to say that maybe you should run various Virut scanners if you have Virut, and then try a System Restore, maybe it will fix like this.

Virut is a polymorphic file infector and is capable of infecting all the machine's executable files. If you are infected with virut then the only way forward is a format of the machine. I see you did not post the requested logs as instructed in our NEW INSTRUCTIONS - Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help Without any logs we cannot make any analysis to confirm whether as to not you are infected or not with this infection.
