Re: I can't entries in HijackThis, please help
Hello Ryandu and welcome,
You should be very careful with this tool as you can take out legit entries and really mess up your system. What entries are you trying to fix? |

Re: I can't entries in HijackThis, please help
Thank you for replying to my question, the entries I tried to fix are: O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file), and O18 - Protocol: msdaipp - (no CLSID) - (no file), I'm not a HijackThis expert, I just think these two entries should not be there, right?

Re: I can't entries in HijackThis, please help
Those are only orphaned registry entries. They do no harm leaving them, nor do they affect system performance.
If you wish to fix those 2, with Vista you have to right click HijackThis.exe and select 'run as adminstrator'. |

Re: I can't entries in HijackThis, please help
I ran HijackThis as an adminstrator and found some entries I fix in the past, just want your advice on which one is safe to restore: 02-BHO:(no name)-{7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045}-(no file), F2-REG:system.ini:userInit=C:\Windows\system32\Userinit.exe, 013-Gopher Profix: Just a little curious, what are orphaned registry entries? thanks Ried
