Re: constant pops, extremely slow
Hello -
You've only posted the extra.txt from DSS, not the main.txt which holds the most important information. Since it's been a few days, please do this: Run Deckard's System Scanner once again, this time using these instructions (this assumes dss.exe is on your DESKTOP): Click the Windows 'Start' button > Select 'Run' - then copy/paste this into the run box & click OK "%userprofile%\desktop\dss.exe" /configClick on "Check All" Click Scan! When finished, it shall produce two logs for you. Post those logs in your next reply. Please attach extra.txt to your post. Do not copy/paste it into the reply. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, please do this: Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it: Quote:
It should look like this: Double click on peek.bat & allow it to run. A notepad file will open. Post the contents of that file in your next reply, and close the file.

Re: constant pops, extremely slow
Before beginning the fix, read this post completely. If there's anything that you do not understand, kindly ask your questions before proceeding. Save the following instructions in Notepad as this webpage would not be available when you're carrying out the fix.
It is IMPORTANT that you don't miss a step & perform everything in the correct order/sequence. You have the latest version of the Vundo infection. It is a file infector, and replaces many legit exe files in startup. It's possible these applications will need to be reinstalled. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This machine does not have the Windows XP Recovery Console installed. The Windows recovery console will allow you to boot up into a special recovery mode that allows us to help you in the case that your computer has a problem after an attempted removal of malware. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do this:
