I got another trojan

ok, I had a keylogger a few days ago. I caught 4 things that were all deleted. One was a trojan, 2 were adware, and one I don't know. Today, I did another kaspersky scan, and it found Trojan-PSW.win32.agent.kv

it was hidden in musicmatch jukebox. I am worried that there is still something on my computer downloading this stuff, but I hope it is just from the internet somehow. so anyway, here is my HJT:

Download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) to your Desktop.

What DSS will do:

create a new System Restore point in Windows XP and Vista.
clean your Temporary Files, Downloaded Program Files, and Internet Cache Files, and also empty the Recycle Bin on all drives.
check some important areas of your system and produce a report for your analyst to review.
DSS automatically runs HijackThis for you, but it will also install and place a shortcut to HijackThis on your desktop if you do not already have HijackThis installed.

Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges.

Close all applications and windows.
Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
When the scan is complete, two text files will open - main.txt <- this one will be maximized and extra.txt <-this one will be minimized
Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of main.txt in your next reply.
Please attach extra.txt to your post.

To attach a file to a new post, simply

Click the[Manage Attachments] button under Additional Options > Attach Files on the post composition page, and
copy and paste the following into the "Upload File from your Computer" box:

my new problem is that my computer takes a lot longer to start up. Also, every so often, usually after I open/close something, I get a "hardware interrupt" of about 9-10% CPU usage which lasts for about half a minute.

Also, I accidentally ran DSS before I closed all programs, so I deleted the main and extra from that scan, closed everything, and now I don't get an extra...

Hello lukini,

I'm not seeing any active infection in these logs--just a remant. We'll run a couple scanners and see if they reveal anything.

Download AVG Anti Spyware

Use the link at the bottom of the page under "AVG Anti-Spyware Free for Windows"

Install AVG Anti Spyware
Double-click the icon on Desktop to launch AVG
On the top of the main screen click Shield
Click the word active to change it to inactive
On the top of the main screen click Update.
Then click on Start Update. The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
Once the update has completed select the "Scanner" icon at the top of the screen, then select the "Settings" tab.
Once in the Settings screen click on "Recommended actions" and then select "Quarantine".
Under "Reports"
- Select "Automatically generate report after every scan"
- Un-Select "Only if threats were found"

When you have finished updating, EXIT AVG Anti Spyware. Do Not run a scan just yet, we will shortly.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Use the up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode and press Enter.
5) Login with your usual account. Make sure to close any open browsers.

Open HijackThis and click on 'Do a System Scan Only'. 'Check' the following entries:

Click 'Fix Checked' and close HijackThis.

Click Scanner

Enter your e-mail address, country, and state & click "Free Online Scan" *The download of the 8 MB Panda's ActiveX control will take place*

If it finds any malware, it will offer you a report.
Please ignore any entry it finds and the offer to buy the program to remove the entry, as we will address this later.

* You needn't remain online while it's doing the scan but you have to re-connect after it has finished to see the report.
* Turn off the real time scanner of any existing antivirus program while performing the online scan

I did everything. I still have that problem where the computer is slower starting up and has "hardware interrupts." Like I said before, I get about 9% CPU usage after I open/close/load something. It happens every about every 2 seconds for half a minute. Process Explorer doesn't show what causes it.

Also, when I rebooted in normal mode I got an error saying "Error loading TCP MIB library."

One was a trojan, 2 were adware, and one I don't know. Today, I did another kaspersky scan, and it found Trojan-PSW.win32.agent.kv it was hidden in musicmatch jukebox. Also, every so often, usually after I open/close something, I get a "hardware interrupt" of about 9-10% CPU usage which lasts for about half a minute. Also, I accidentally ran DSS before I closed all programs, so I deleted the main and extra from that scan, closed everything, and now I don't get an extra... We'll run a couple scanners and see if they reveal anything. Download AVG Anti Spyware Use the link at the bottom of the page under "AVG Anti-Spyware Free for Windows" Install AVG Anti Spyware Double-click the icon on Desktop to launch AVG On the top of the main screen click Shield Click the word active to change it to inactive On the top of the main screen click Update. Then click on Start Update. The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed. Once the update has completed select the "Scanner" icon at the top of the screen, then select the "Settings" tab. Once in the Settings screen click on "Recommended actions" and then select "Quarantine". Under "Reports" Select "Automatically generate report after every scan" Un-Select "Only if threats were found" When you have finished updating, EXIT AVG Anti Spyware. Do Not run a scan just yet, we will shortly. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following: 1) Restart your computer 2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8. 3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear 4) Use the up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode and press Enter. 5) Login with your usual account. lukini Registered User Join Date: Apr 2007 Posts: 6 OS: XP	Re: I got another trojan I did everything. I still have that problem where the computer is slower starting up and has "hardware interrupts." Like I said before, I get about 9% CPU usage after I open/close/load something. It happens every about every 2 seconds for half a minute. Process Explorer doesn't show what causes it. Also, when I rebooted in normal mode I got an error saying "Error loading TCP MIB library."
