Hi Steve -
You're quite welcome. You're a good student. If your computer was previously set to go into standby after a certain length of time, it still should be. You can access those settings several ways....simplest is to right click on a blank area of your desktop, and select properties from the context menu which appears. Then click on the Screen Saver tab. At the bottom, there's a button which says Power. When you click on it, another small screen will appear, which wil allow you to configure several Power Schemes. Set as desired, click Apply, then OK your way out of the screens. Hopefully you won't need assistance with malware removal anytime soon. ![]() The other sections of our forum also have knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff and members, for other computer questions.
