Re: Hjt Log
I still need help. I have some kind of bad Tojan. FYI I don't know a whole lot about computers. I have read other post and I do see ya'll are quite busy. So Please know that I do understand about not getting to me just quite yet. I have used ya'll in the past and ya'll have been quite helpful. As I read other post I see ya'll have asked otheres to do a combo scan so I have done this.

Re: Hjt Log
Hi,
Use your son's computer to download the SmitfraudFix tool to any removable media and transfer it to the desktop of your system. Run through the fix as stated with the exception of running AVG A-S. Once you've completed the the steps, you should be able to access the internet to run the online scan. Post the logs requested with the exception of the AVG A-S log--we'll catch that in the next round. |

Re: Hjt Log
When I said I was on my son's computer I ment a completely diff comp. It is located in his bedroom upstairs and is a laptop I am on it right now. The one that is messed up is a desktop and is downstairs in the home office. I was however able to get on it this morning for a brief moment and was able to do some of the things you asked me. but now I am unable to get the internet window to pop up nor am I able to send e-mail. so now I am on my son's laptop.
I was able to do the everything except the following: "Using My Computer, navigate to and delete the following Folder C:\Program Files\SystemDoctor 2006 Free None of the following stuff was there: "Next go to Control Panel click Display>Desktop>Customize Desktop>Web> Now, Uncheck Everything and delete if present: · "Security Info" · "Warning Message" · "Security Desktop" · "Warning Homepage" · "Desktop Uninstall" Also make sure the 'Lock desktop items' box is unticked. Click OK, and then Click Apply, then OK." after I did the AVG Anti-Apyware scan I saved report just like you said but after I rebooted it did not show up on my desktop. I tried e-mailing the Smitfraud report to myself so I could send them to ya that way but now I am unable to send e-mail. And now that I can not get the internet window to pop up I am unable to do the following: " Double-click on SmitfraudFix.exe to start the tool. Select option #3 - Delete Trusted zone by typing 3 and press Enter Answer Yes to the question "Restore Trusted Zone ?" by typing Y and hit Enter. Note, if you use SpywareBlaster and/or IE-SPYAD, it will be necessary to re-install the protection both afford. For SpywareBlaster, run the program and re-protect all items. For IE-SPYAD, run the batch file and reinstall the protection. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please run this online scan to search for any other files that may be lurking. It can take some time, so please be patient and allow it to run it's full course: Perform an online scan with Internet Explorer with Panda ActiveScan[*] Click on located at the bottom of the page.[*] A "pop up" window will appear. * Please ensure that your pop up blocker doesn't block it *[*] Enter your e-mail address, country, and state & click "Free Online Scan" *The download of the 8 MB Panda's ActiveX control will take place*[/list]Begin the scan by selecting If it finds any malware, it will offer you a report. Please ignore any entry it finds and the offer to buy the program to remove the entry, as we will address this later. Click on then click * You needn't remain online while it's doing the scan but you have to re-connect after it has finished to see the report. * Turn off the real time scanner of any existing antivirus program while performing the online scan -------------------------------------------------------------------- Then post the following logs in your next reply... c:\rapport.txt AVG A/S log Panda log Hijackthis log" I can't even get SmitfraudFix.exe to run even thought it is on my desktop Clearly I am in need of alot of help for I haven't got a clue of what to do now. |

Re: Hjt Log
Do I understand correctly that it did run at one point? Were you able to complete Option #2?
Let's see if this tool will work for you. Again, use your son's computer to download the tool to a flash drive, or floppy, or any removable media you have at hand. Bring it to the infected machine and copy the tool to the Desktop. Download Combofix and save it to your desktop. **Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop** -------------------------------------------------------------------- Close any open browsers. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Note: Do not mouseclick ComboFix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall Post the ComboFix.txt in your next reply. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, you mentioned you could not delete a folder earlier--why not? Please provide me as much detail as possible when you run into difficulties. |

Re: Hjt Log
If you still cannot access the internet, copy the C:\ComboFix.txt and the previous C:\rapport.txt to the removable media and bring to your son's computer. You will then be able to copy/paste the reports into this thread.
