Hi -
I was working with Lobos regarding a problem before the server crash. Lobos - this is what we have done so far... You had me remove wintools and uninstall 2 toolbar programs. I sent a message saying I could not uninstall a program called DealHelper or something. Had a picture of the box so you knew why. You also wanted me to run Housecall but everytime I log into the website, it says it is already running. Your last reply was for me to run Adware 6.0 and Spybot S&D to see how much they could clean up. Here is how it went. I installed and ran Adware 6.0 (nice program by the way) I fixed all 300-some items I restarted my computer Adware 6.0 ran again on start-up I fixed all 60-some items I restarted my computer I ran Spybot S&D Only found a DSO exploit. Fixed and restarted the computer Ran Spybot again Found DSO exlpoit again. Fixed and restarted the computer Ran HiJack This: (I had to have someone email the log so the spacing might look a little funny) Logfile of HijackThis v1.97.7 Scan saved at 8:57:15 PM, on 6/28/2004 Platform: Windows XP (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 (6.00.2600.0000) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\Ati2evxx.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\HP Share-to-Web\hpgs2wnd.exe C:\Program Files\MUSICMATCH\MUSICMATCH Jukebox\mm_tray.exe C:\Program Files\iPod\Bin\iPodWatcher.exe C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe C:\documents and settings\administrator\local settings\temp\4ZfwzcjCr.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\atcoxd.exe C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe C:\Program Files\McAfee\McAfee Shared Components\Instant Updater\RuLaunch.exe C:\Program Files\Kodak\Kodak EasyShare software\bin\EasyShare.exe C:\Program Files\Kodak\KODAK Software Updater\7288971\Program\backWeb-7288971.exe C:\PROGRA~1\HEWLET~1\HPSHAR~1\hpgs2wnf.exe C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\ymsgr_tray.exe C:\Program Files\McAfee\McAfee VirusScan\Avsynmgr.exe C:\Program Files\iPod\Bin\iPodSrv.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\KodakCCS.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\ScsiAccess.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\McAfee\McAfee VirusScan\VsStat.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\Tbx3gPf.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\VvuMFLvs.exe C:\Program Files\McAfee\McAfee Firewall\CPD.EXE C:\Program Files\McAfee\McAfee VirusScan\Vshwin32.exe C:\Program Files\McAfee\McAfee Firewall\CPD.EXE C:\Program Files\Common Files\Network Associates\McShield\Mcshield.exe C:\Program Files\McAfee\McAfee VirusScan\Avconsol.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\wuauclt.exe C:\Hijack This\HijackThis.exe R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = file://C:\WINDOWS\System32\SearchBar.htm R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://www.yahoo.com R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/cust...tp://my.yahoo. com R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/cust...tp://www.yahoo .com/ext/search/search.html R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=%s R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = sas.r1.attbi.com:8000 R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = *.r1.attbi.com;<local>;localhost R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName = R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing O2 - BHO: (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Common\ycomp5_1_5_0.dll O2 - BHO: (no name) - {0B90AA1B-F649-44C3-9FD3-736C332CBBCF} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {53707962-6F74-2D53-2644-206D7942484F} - C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\SDHelper.dll O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C5183ABC-EB6E-4E05-B8C9-500A16B6CF94} - C:\Program Files\SEP\sep.dll O2 - BHO: (no name) - {D848A3CA-0BFB-4DE0-BA9E-A57F0CCA1C13} - (no file) O3 - Toolbar: &Radio - {8E718888-423F-11D2-876E-00A0C9082467} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\msdxm.ocx O3 - Toolbar: &Yahoo! It appears you may have the pepar trojan
Download the PeperFix.exe tool from here: http://downloads.subratam.org/PeperFix.exe Click on the PeperFix.exe to launch it. Click the Find and Fix button. It will scan the %systemroot% folder and locate all the peper files. You will be prompted to reboot. Reboot and it will delete the peper files. run hijack this fix this line if there O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [3FGQ96S2383XEZ] C:\WINDOWS\System32\Fmr0i.exe Come back and post another log Lobos |
