This is from my adaware:
WINFAVORITES ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ obj[0]=RegKey : CLSID\{80bb7465-a638-43b5-9827-8e8fe38dfcc1} obj[1]=RegKey : jao.jao obj[2]=RegKey : jao.jao.1 obj[3]=RegKey : TYPELIB\{c094876d-1b0e-46fa-b6a6-7ffc0f970c27} obj[4]=RegKey : Interface\{B88A3AF1-4F1B-4400-8FFB-3FCB108CE115} obj[83]=File : c:\windows\system\jao.dll in addition to the regular cookie trackers. Are those key loggers? How do you get those? How do you prevent from getting them? This is the first time my adaware has found these. Usually it's just tracker cookies. I have Zone Alarm Pro 4 if there's a feature on there or a setting to check please let me know. I visit my regular sites (livejournal etc) so I don't think it's what I've been doing. Haven't download any unknown files (no new music or anything). Haven't gotten any weird attachments either. I know my mother goes online looking up health stuff and some of the sites look questionable, maybe it's from there? And when I started my computer today, the start page was not what I have had it set on for as long as I've had this computer and my mother was last to use this computer. I think she doesn't know the dangers of sites that aren't well known. Thanks. I want to keep my computer as clean as possible. Last edited by hollisterco : 03-03-2005 at 09:31 AM. |

Please download HijackThis - this program will help us determine if there are any spyware/malware on your computer. Create a folder at C:\HJT and move HijackThis.exe there. Double click on the program to run it.
1. If it gives you an intro screen, just choose 'Do a system scan and save a logfile'. 2. If you don't get the intro screen, just hit Scan and then click on Save log. 3. Get HijackThis Analyzer and save it to the same folder as the hijackthis.log file. Run HijackThis Analyzer and type in y if you agree. The result.txt file will open up in Notepad. Copy the whole result.txt log and post it in the forum. We do not need the original hijackthis.log (unless we ask for it). Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless.
