IE eroor message "The operation has been cancelled due to restrictions...."
when I go to close out a browser window i get this error message"this operation has been canceled dur to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator" I can Ctrl/ALT/del and it will let me end task it. ALso i cant seem to defrag or thourough scan disk either. I did a rscanreg/restore and nothing changed.... what couldve happened...

I think I know whats doing it now
I recnetly found out that someone has infected me with a privacy virus. They sent me copies of emails i have sent from a few different locales and my pc started freaking out ie pop ups etc. How can i remove this and make it secure so it wont happen again? ANy freeware? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Please download HijackThis - this program will help us determine if there are any spyware/malware on your computer. Create a folder at C:\HJT and move HijackThis.exe there. Double click on the program to run it.
1. If it gives you an intro screen, just choose 'Do a system scan and save a logfile'. 2. If you don't get the intro screen, just hit Scan and then click on Save log. 3. Get HijackThis Analyzer and save it to the same folder as the hijackthis.log file. Run HijackThis Analyzer and type in y if you agree. The result.txt file will open up in Notepad. Copy the whole result.txt log and post it in the forum. We do not need the original hijackthis.log (unless we ask for it). Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless.
