My Task Manager has stopped working and followed the thread suggesting it could be a malware issue, which in turn directed me to the HijackThis Log Help Forum.
On using CTRL + ALT + DEL or by right-clicking the task bar and on selecting the fully lit tab called "Task Manager", it does not appear. The screen flashes and then returns to the current open window. I have had this problem since I joined the company 4 months ago and I am the network administrator. I am running an XP Pro SP3 client PC on a small network as the administrator and have been protected by Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0.3.830 running anti-virus and anti-spy among others for over a year updated from the server when the signatures arrive. Very liitle date is stored locally to the machine, everything being stored on the server. As suggested on this forum following your steps, I checked Spyware Warrior for malware and none on the list were present on this PC; I performed the online scan using Panda Active scan (see log below); I downloaded Spy Blaster as suggested; and installed HijackThis (see log below). Panda Active Scan results:
