Have redlof virus and AVG wont get rid of it.

Have recently installed AVG (free version) and ran first scan. It took 40 mins, and 32600 objects were scanned and 3054 object were infected with VBS redlof A
AVG automatically healed the infected areas, and now when I start up my computer I get a big red screen which says that I should restart from a virus free system, diskette or cd-rom and then use AVG rescue disk (which I made after the scan it did) and remove the virus by healing. it then give two options (1) (R)eboot and restart system from virus fre diskette
(2) (C)ontinue at your own risk

If I continue, I can use my computer normally.

The problem is that I don't want this big red screen at the beggining of startup, does this mean that redlof is still there.

I have a very old system, windows 98, and my computer is 5 years old. I have only a 'system restore disk' which will wipe my hard drive and restore factory settings, so I will lose all other information, i cannot back up files as I have no cd writer, only floppy drive.
Shall I post an HJT log, remind me again how to do this please.

Yes, that does mean there are remnants of this virus on there. 32,000+ files? Geez, how long were you running with no AV?

If you have a fast internet connection (broadband), run an online virus scan at TrendMicro. Make sure to select the Autoclean option.
