Virus: Bloodhound.Out mail - need help with removal
Hi,
One of the pc's in my office has been hit with a bloodhound virus after the user opened a mail which told him that he had a e-card from Hallmark waiting for him. The attachment came in as a .zip file, inside was a .exe which he opened in error. The virus writes itself into the the system32 folder and creates a file called pyhlij.exe. It also searches for any applications that uses a username and password (MSN / BANKING / SKYPE etc) to access and then logs itself into these accounts so that it can mail out more links. According to Norton Auto Protect, which I have on all my pc's in the office, the virus name that it is trying to quarantine is Bloodhound.Out Mail. All my attempts to remove this virus has failed so far, please can anyone out there help me? Thanks. |
