try installing adaware and spybot and running them. Also run the immunization feature in spybot. I have had very good luck with the two of them together, what one didnot find the other seemed to catch it.

Hi and Welcome to TSF
Please update your hijackthis version as your using an old one! Also move it to it's own folder on the root of C:\ Before attacking an adware/spyware problem with hijackthis make sure you have already run ad-aware SE with VX2 add-on cleaner, Spybot Search & Destroy (with updated database) and CWShredder as these programs will clean a lot of the crap out first. All links to programs are in my signature. Ok..on to the log….. Download Winsock2Fix and unzip it. Then double-click on it to run it. Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled. Also make sure that the System Files and Folders are showing/visible also. Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore. Reboot into Safe Mode (hit F8 key until menu shows up). Make sure to close any open browsers. Go into HijackThis->Config->Misc. Tools->Open process manager. Select the following and click Kill process for each one if they are still listed (they shouldn't be but make sure) C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\TBPSSvc.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\WinTools\WToolsS.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\TBPS.exe C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\PIB.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\WinTools\WSup.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\wtta.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\WinTools\WToolsA.exe Check and fix the following in HijackThis if they still exist (make sure you do not miss an entry) R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.websearch.com/ie.aspx?tb_id=50141 R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://us9.hpwis.com/ R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://srch-us9.hpwis.com/ R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch = R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.websearch.com/ie.aspx?tb_id=50141 R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Connection Wizard,Shellnext = http://interact.kefta.com/form/60/R.../121002?ktnbf=0 R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,SearchAssistant = http://www.websearch.com/ie.aspx?tb_id=50141 R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {87766247-311C-43B4-8499-3D5FEC94A183} - C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\WinTools\WToolsB.dll O1 - Hosts: 203.87.168.229 gg.muchina.com O1 - Hosts: 203.87.168.229 ogg.muchina.com O1 - Hosts: 203.87.168.229 update.nprotect.net O1 - Hosts: 69.20.16.183 ieautosearch O1 - Hosts: 69.20.16.183 auto.search.msn.com O1 - Hosts: 69.20.16.183 search.netscape.com O1 - Hosts: 69.20.16.183 ieautosearch O1 - Hosts: 69.20.16.183 ieautosearch O2 - BHO: (no name) - {87766247-311C-43B4-8499-3D5FEC94A183} - C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\WinTools\WToolsB.dll O3 - Toolbar: &Search Toolbar - {339BB23F-A864-48C0-A59F-29EA915965EC} - C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\toolbar.dll O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinTools] C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\WinTools\WToolsA.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TBPS] C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\TBPS.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BullsEye Network] C:\Program Files\BullsEye Network\bin\bargains.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SESync] "C:\Program Files\SED\SED.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Fbtjx] C:\WINDOWS\system32\w?wexec.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Notn] C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\wtta.exe O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'spsublsp.dll' missing O16 - DPF: {79849612-A98F-45B8-95E9-4D13C7B6B35C} (SL Control) - http://static.topconverting.com/activex/sl.cab O16 - DPF: {9EB320CE-BE1D-4304-A081-4B4665414BEF} (MediaTicketsInstaller Control) - http://www.35mb.com/applet.cab Delete the following Files/Folders in RED (delete folders if no filename is specified or they are RED) according to their directory (If you can't find them...do a search for them…make sure you have search hidden files, folders, sub directorys..ect enabled if it applys to your OS) C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\PIB.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\WinTools\WSup.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\wtta.exe C:\Program Files\BullsEye Network\bin\bargains.exe C:\Program Files\SED\SED.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\w?wexec.exe Once done reboot into Normal Mode and post a new HijackThis log file to confirm what was removed and if it's clean or not. Once your clean you can enable system restore again. **Notes** BroadJump - Newer name for BroadJump Foundation Client (BJCFD) from BroadJump.com, now Motive. The software collects information on your Internet activity and sends it to your ISP so that your ISP can serve you advertisements related to the type of sites you visit. I would ask your ISP on how to remove it and why they installed it in the first place. Please do not uninstall the program, since it looks like it is required for your internet connection. This especially applies to those who use SBC as their ISP (Internet Service Provider). If they can't/won't resolve this problem for you, then it's time to switch to another provider that don't embed this spyware in their program. You will most likely also have Support.com installed. The same situation applies here also. Try to find out how to remove it from your ISP. Don't uninstall it yourself.

Your log is clean. If you disabled System Restore, make sure to enable it now.
Are there any problems now? If not, you should be set to go. To help prevent future spyware installations/infections, please read the Anti-Spyware Section and use the tools provided. You REALLY should use Windows Explorer (right-click on My Computer / Explore) to find/delete those files/folders as advised.

Make sure you have used these tools first, as MB instructed you to. I do not see them running in your latest log.
Please download Ad-aware SE and install it if you don't have it already. Make sure it's the newest version and check for any updates before running it. Go to this site to get the plug-in for fixing VX2 variants. To run this tool, go into Ad-aware->Add-ons and select VX2 Cleaner. Then click Run Tool and OK to start it. If it's clean, it will say Status System Clean. Otherwise, you will have to click on the Clean button to remove the VX2 infection. Also make sure to customize the settings in Ad-aware for better scan results. Run the scan and fix everything that it finds. Download and install Spybot S&D. Run Spybot and click on the Search for Updates button. Install any updates if they are available. Next click on the Check for Problems button. Let it run the scan. If it finds something, check all those in RED and hit the Fix Selected Problems button. Exit Spybot. Download CWShredder and click on Fix (it will automatically fix anything it finds for you). If it asks if you want to delete a certain random file, choose No and post that filename here. Reboot when done and report back on your condition.

Press 'Ok' Press 'Save' and select the location to save the log file (default is the same folder as the application) Post the log in this thread.

To display CONFIG.NT/AUTOEXEC.NT information, add `REM the command echoconfig to CONFIG.NT or other startup file. `REM `REM NTCMDPROMPT `REM When you return to the command prompt from a TSR or while running an `REM MS-DOS-based application, Windows runs COMMAND.COM. This allows the `REM TSR to remain active. To run CMD.EXE, the Windows command prompt, `REM rather than COMMAND.COM, add the command ntcmdprompt to CONFIG.NT or `REM other startup file. `REM `REM DOSONLY `REM By default, you can start any type of application when running `REM COMMAND.COM. If you start an application other than an MS-DOS-based `REM application, any running TSR may be disrupted. To ensure that only `REM MS-DOS-based applications can be started, add the command dosonly to `REM CONFIG.NT or other startup file. `REM `REM EMM `REM You can use EMM command line to configure EMM(Expanded Memory Manager). `REM The syntax is: `REM `REM EMM = [A=AltRegSets] [B=BaseSegment] [RAM] `REM `REM AltRegSets `REM specifies the total Alternative Mapping Register Sets you `REM want the system to support. 1 <= AltRegSets <= 255. The `REM default value is 8. `REM BaseSegment `REM specifies the starting segment address in the Dos conventional `REM memory you want the system to allocate for EMM page frames. `REM The value must be given in Hexdecimal. `REM 0x1000 <= BaseSegment <= 0x4000. The value is rounded down to `REM 16KB boundary. The default value is 0x4000 `REM RAM `REM specifies that the system should only allocate 64Kb address `REM space from the Upper Memory Block(UMB) area for EMM page frames `REM and leave the rests(if available) to be used by DOS to support `REM loadhigh and devicehigh commands. The system, by default, would `REM allocate all possible and available UMB for page frames. `REM `REM The EMM size is determined by pif file(either the one associated `REM with your application or _default.pif). If the size from PIF file `REM is zero, EMM will be disabled and the EMM line will be ignored. `REM `dos=high, umb `device=%SystemRoot%\system32\himem.sys `files=40 *C:\autoexec.bat *C:\WINDOWS\system32\autoexec.nt `@echo off `REM AUTOEXEC.BAT is not used to initialize the MS-DOS environment. `REM AUTOEXEC.NT is used to initialize the MS-DOS environment unless a `REM different startup file is specified in an application's PIF. `REM Install CD ROM extensions `lh %SystemRoot%\system32\mscdexnt.exe `REM Install network redirector (load before dosx.exe) `lh %SystemRoot%\system32\redir `REM Install DPMI support `lh %SystemRoot%\system32\dosx `REM The following line enables Sound Blaster 2.0 support on NTVDM. `REM The command for setting the BLASTER environment is as follows: `REM SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 P330 `REM where: `REM A specifies the sound blaster's base I/O port `REM I specifies the interrupt request line `REM D specifies the 8-bit DMA channel `REM P specifies the MPU-401 base I/O port `REM T specifies the type of sound blaster card `REM 1 - Sound Blaster 1.5 `REM 2 - Sound Blaster Pro I `REM 3 - Sound Blaster 2.0 `REM 4 - Sound Blaster Pro II `REM 6 - SOund Blaster 16/AWE 32/32/64 `REM `REM The default value is A220 I5 D1 T3 and P330. If any of the switches is `REM left unspecified, the default value will be used. (NOTE, since all the `REM ports are virtualized, the information provided here does not have to `REM match the real hardware setting.) NTVDM supports Sound Blaster 2.0 only. `REM The T switch must be set to 3, if specified. `SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 P330 T3 `REM To disable the sound blaster 2.0 support on NTVDM, specify an invalid `REM SB base I/O port address. For example: `REM SET BLASTER=A0 *C:\boot.ini `[boot loader] `timeout=3 `default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS `[operating systems] `multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn `C:\CMDCONS\BOOTSECT.DAT="Microsoft Windows Recovery Console" /cmdcons »%PATH% Companion Files *C:\WINDOWS\system32\notepad.exe *C:\WINDOWS\notepad.exe *C:\WINDOWS\system32\ps2.EXE *C:\WINDOWS\system32\ps2.bat *C:\WINDOWS\system32\slrundll.exe *C:\WINDOWS\slrundll.exe *C:\WINDOWS\system32\taskman.exe *C:\WINDOWS\TASKMAN.EXE *C:\WINDOWS\system32\winhlp32.exe *C:\WINDOWS\winhlp32.exe »System/Drivers »Running Processes *00000000=<unkown> *00000004=<unkown> *00000104=\SystemRoot\System32\smss.exe *0000014C=<unkown> *00000164=\??\C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe *00000190=C:\WINDO |
