Re: Virus Problems
Hi, welcome to tsf!
You posted an incomplete log. Make sure you post a complete one in your next reply. You're using an older version of Hijackthis. Please uninstall the older version via control panel > add/remove programs Please click Here to download HijackThis to your desktop. Click the Download button. When the Trend Micro HJT install box appears, double click on the HJTInstall.exe. Click on Install. It will be installed by default here: C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis A shortcut to the application will also be placed on your Desktop. The program will open automatically after installation. You can double-click the icon that was placed on the Desktop to run subsequent HijackThis scans or you can use the icon inside the folder. The folder HijackThis is where you will find the HJT logs that you save. When you use the application to remove anything, you will also find the backup copies made by HJT inside this folder. Click on "Do a system scan and save logfile" When the log pops up in Notepad, close it and exit hijackthis. _______ Download Deckard's System Scanner to your Desktop. Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges. 1. Close all applications and windows. 2. Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts. 3. When the scan is complete, a text file will open - main.txt.txt<<this one will be maximized and extra.txt <<this one will be minimized. 4. Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of main.txt.txt in your next reply. 6. Please copy and paste the contents of main.txt and extra.txt to your post.

Re: Virus Problems
Hello Reo690,
You've picked up new infection during the delay in carrying out the last set of instructions. It's imperative that the instructions, and subsequent posting of requested logs, are carried out in a timely manner or we'll keep going in circles. ![]() When did you run Combofix? Delete your existing ComboFix.exe if it is still on your system. Please download the latest version from here and save it directly to your desktop. **Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop** -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Close any open browsers. 2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
