I logged in to the google's search in which I got the forum. Actually Iwas looking for cybercadets information and there was a pornmovie advert (converted), finally it was an IE AntiVirus sofware which now keeps on scanning my computer telling me my PC will shutdown since then with several automatic scans and popups that prevent me from a peaceful web browsing.
When a page is loading this popup blocks it until I click cancel on it, while it wants me to click ok, but I don't. I' ve been advised that, they track what you usually browse for and convert the virus to it. By that time I was also searching for entertainment which turned to be a dissaster to me. Lots of hope for better, ![]() |

Re: A tricking porn advertisement...
Hi,
In your other thread, you were advised to read the five steps before posting a log, and provide all the requested logs when you post at the HijackThis help forum. Where are they?

Hi everybody in the forum. I would like to share my joy with you for the support I got from you guys. I have finally removed the virus and got releaved from the pop-ups of which I also got to know what was it, actually it was the IE Antivirus and now after carefully following the five (5) steps before posting, which at first I did not clearly understand / carefully follow these steps and that is why I did not get the help I got today.
I want to pass my joyfull thanks to everybody who had a concern in my issue that has troubled me from end of April till today (10th June 2008). Thank you , thank you! Yours sincerely Mr Tumelo Maboea |

Re: A tricking porn advertisement...
You're welcome. Happy to hear that the popups have stopped. However, the symptoms may have disappeared but there may still be remnants. Please post the DSS' main.txt and I'll be happy to make sure that you are free of infection.
