Malware detected--please help as computer is slow

Luckily I have not needed the support of this forum for almost 1 year--but my computer is slow again, as Malware was detected last week and picked up by Adaware. I am enclosing a log file from Hijack this. I also ran a Panda Scan the other day and it came back totally cleam, as well as a Kaspersky scan which also came back clean. I am hopeful that someone can assist tonight. Thanks in advance for all the help.

Hello skaden,

We prefer a more comprehensive set of logs to assist in detecting any malware that may be present. As noted in the final step (Step 5) of our sticky topic IMPORTANT - Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help....

Download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) to your Desktop.

What DSS will do:

create a new System Restore point in Windows XP and Vista.
clean your Temporary Files, Downloaded Program Files, and Internet Cache Files, and also empty the Recycle Bin on all drives.
check some important areas of your system and produce a report for your analyst to review.
DSS automatically runs HijackThis for you, but it will also install and place a shortcut to HijackThis on your desktop if you do not already have HijackThis installed.

Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges.

Close all applications and windows.
Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
When the scan is complete, two text files will open - main.txt <- this one will be maximized and extra.txt <-this one will be minimized
Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of main.txt in your next reply.
Please attach extra.txt to your post.

To attach a file to a new post, simply

Click the[Manage Attachments] button under Additional Options > Attach Files on the post composition page, and
copy and paste the following into the "Upload File from your Computer" box:

Click Upload.

Save the file as "fix.reg". Make sure to save it with the quotes. Choose to "Save type as - All Files"

Double click on the fix.reg file and choose Yes to merge/add it to the registry. You may delete the file afterwards.

I will do a restart as the computer is still slow. Adaware detected win32.backdoor. I can get to sites on the internet, but I have to double click many, many times. It seems like I have to continually delete cookies and then it goes faster. Any other suggestions?

Yes--just the internet that is slow. I cannot read the Adaware log that indicates the bacdoor. It came up as a 10 rating malware. I removed the malware and it shows up on the statistics. When I type in something in the search bar, I have to try at least 3 or 4 times--and double click repeadetly. Any other suggestions? Even when I attempt to reply to this email on the forum it takes a very long time--which it never did before being infected last week. I look forward to your response.

It would really be helpful to see the actual file or registry key Ad Aware found. Without it, I'm working 'blind' here.

I generally don't care to 'throw' tools at a system, but with nothing else to go on, let's see if this tool will reveal anything for us:

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.

Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to the following:
- Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
- Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
Then click Finish.
If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
Once the program has loaded, select Perform Full scan, then click Scan.
When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Save it to your desktop.

Note: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware may require a reboot to complete removals. After a reboot, if required, post that saved log in your next reply.

A little better, but still experiencing similar problems. I cahnged the abtteries in my wireless mouse, as I seem to always have to double and triple click on a web search. Also, it just seems that it takes 3 to 10 secons longer to open a web page than previoulsy. Any other suggestions? Also, when I try to open some web pages, I get the message cannot open the page.

As noted in the final step (Step 5) of our sticky topic IMPORTANT - Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help.... Download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) to your Desktop. What DSS will do: create a new System Restore point in Windows XP and Vista. clean your Temporary Files, Downloaded Program Files, and Internet Cache Files, and also empty the Recycle Bin on all drives. check some important areas of your system and produce a report for your analyst to review. DSS automatically runs HijackThis for you, but it will also install and place a shortcut to HijackThis on your desktop if you do not already have HijackThis installed. Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges. Close all applications and windows. Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts. Adaware detected win32.backdoor. I can get to sites on the internet, but I have to double click many, many times. It seems like I have to continually delete cookies and then it goes faster. Any other suggestions?

I cannot read the Adaware log that indicates the bacdoor. It came up as a 10 rating malware. I removed the malware and it shows up on the statistics. When I type in something in the search bar, I have to try at least 3 or 4 times--and double click repeadetly. Any other suggestions? Even when I attempt to reply to this email on the forum it takes a very long time--which it never did before being infected last week. I look forward to your response.

Without it, I'm working 'blind' here. I generally don't care to 'throw' tools at a system, but with nothing else to go on, let's see if this tool will reveal anything for us: Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop. Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program. At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to the following: Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Then click Finish. If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. Once the program has loaded, select Perform Full scan, then click Scan. When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results. Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Save it to your desktop. Note: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware may require a reboot to complete removals. I cahnged the abtteries in my wireless mouse, as I seem to always have to double and triple click on a web search. Also, it just seems that it takes 3 to 10 secons longer to open a web page than previoulsy. Any other suggestions? Also, when I try to open some web pages, I get the message cannot open the page.
