Hi, My Vaio laptop has got progressively more and more sluggish over the last few weeks. Haven't installed anything particularly new during this time. It can take up to 5 minutes for an application to load. Screen hangs for periods of a few minutes with mouse freeze. Cntrl Alt Delete shows lots of AVG system processes running and Outlook.exe running. I have AVG version 8. I do not have Outlook running but it is set-up to sync automatically with my Nokia mobile phone.
Have tried existing AVG toolbar and closing some system processes, but this doesn't seem to resolve. However, it's intermittent. Right now everything is working FAST. I can click to open Word and Excel and boom, they're open. I have ALL system processes running.

Hope someone can help. I'm trying to work on University assignments and this is causing me to waste a lot of time keep waiting minutes at a time for the PC.
