i made a thread in the wrong boards a while back

here is what i wrote in it:

there they told me to post this here but also to follow the 5 steps first

so i did that..

but then the problems got even worse

I didn't managed to finish step 2

i tryed to do the pandasoftware scan a few times but always failed
becauze when my internet is on, spyware starts to work and alot of popups appear

i once tryed to close them and just keep the scan window but after a while windows gave me an error about IEexplorer.exe making a fault
i tryed to run it with firefox but nothing happened, just a white popup opened, the scan never started

the last time i tryed to scan it i just didn't close any popup or didn't click 'ok' on the errors windows was giving me about IEexplorer.exe so the scan kept runnign in the background
it scanned over 500000files and it took 6hours to do that, the progress bar was only at 1/5 after the 6 hours
after a while some spyware popup opened in the window where the scan was running so i gave up trying step 2(after 9hours of trying)
also weird is that IE isn't showing any picture unless i right-clicked them and press 'show picture' even tho my configuration was allowing to show pictures, FF did show pictures
but the first time i scan (about 20min) panda did find over 23 viruses and did disinfected them, and the last time i scanned (the 6hours) i did only show 7 viruses, so i hope i did do some good after all, not sure
but i don't have a report cauze i never was able to end a scan

step 4 was a problem aswell
i had some windows updates in my system tray 'shield icon'
i installed those
but i went to the site to check for more updates but that never worked cauze my IE was broken after doing the panda scan
so i had the brilliant idea to install IE7
i thought that would solve some problems, but it didn't
so i started working in safe mode
also installed spybot and did a full scan
did find a worm and trojans

did delete those with spybot
now when i'm not in safe mode now i can't open anything, when i double click an icon the hourglass comes next to my mouse and that all that happens i can open 'start' menu once and click something but then also the hourglass comes up and everything blocks, i can't remember if all that was already like that before i did the spybot scan or after

so i can only run in safe mode, i did download dss but when i wanted to run it, a warning told me i beter not run it in safe mode..

so i'm stuck now
