Suprised the haynaker-my HJ log
Everything after posting with you guys seemed to be working just fine for a couple of days and then POW. Its even to the point where it is adding icons onto my desktop. Its slow and I have run updated Adaware,updated CW shredder and here is my log. Thank you in advance. All of you do yeomans work

please download the new version hijackthis

you MUST install it in a permanent folder ,anywhere in C:\

if you don t have spybot search and destroy

please get it ,update the prog,than scan and fix anything found ,and immunize .

reboot ,scan with the new hijackthis and post a new log .

means


that your hijackthis is inside a temp folder ,it will not work properly if it stays there ,put inside a folder into mydocuments ,or maybe create this
C:\HJt\HijackThis.exe

please fix it ,then post a new log .

Hi Lauren and welcome to TSF.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should not have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Go to My Computer->Tools/View->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' (or 'Show all files') is enabled. Also make sure that Display the contents of System Folders' is checked. Windows XP's search feature is a little different. When you click on 'All files and folders' on the left pane, click on the 'More advanced options' at the bottom. Make sure that Search system folders, Search hidden files and folders, and Search subfolders are checked.

Turn off system restore by right clicking on My Computer and go to Properties->System Restore and check the box for Turn off System Restore. Click Apply and then OK. Restart your computer. After we are finished with your log file and verified that it's clean, you may turn it back on and create a new restore point.

Download LSPFix and run it. Click on calsp.dll on the left window and click on the arrow pointing to the right. Click Finish and follow the prompts.

Reboot into Safe Mode (hit F8 key until menu shows up).

Make sure to close any open browsers. Go into HijackThis->Config->Misc. Tools->Open process manager. Select the following and click Kill process for each one if they are still listed (they shouldn't be - but double check it):

C:\WINDOWS\system32\wintask.exe
C:\windows\system32\taskmgn.exe

Uninstall the following via the Add/Remove Panel (Start->(Settings)->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) if they exist:

Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any):

Run Hijack This again and put a check by these. Close ALL windows except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

Now find and delete (you can use windows search tool)

C:\windows\180ax.exe

navigate to the C:\Windows\Temp folder. Open the Temp folder and go to Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Go to Start > Run and type %temp% in the Run box. The Temp folder will open. Click Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete to delete the entire contents of the Temp folder.

Finally go to Control Panel > Internet Options. On the General tab under "Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files". Put a check by "Delete Offline Content" and click OK. Click on the Programs tab then click the "Reset Web Settings" button. Click Apply then OK.


Empty the Recycle Bin

Go here http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
and do an online virus scan.

Be sure and put a check in the box by "Auto Clean" before you do the scan. If it finds anything that it cannot clean have it delete it or make a note of the exact file name and file location so you can delete it yourself.

reboot

post a new log.
