Iexplore errors

About a month ago explorer started freezing when i browsed the internet. So i decided to repair IE6, but it couldn't repair itself. So i restored IE5.5. Explorer still hangs and now i cannot log on to windows update and a few other sites. I have worked everyday for a month to try and find and fix the problem. To no avail. I've even tried a few of the suggestions i found on this site. I am running win98se, preinstalled. I have never been able to reinstall windows. Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. I am at my wits end.

Welcome to TSF.

Not sure if this could be spyware related, so we might as well take a look.

Please download HijackThis. Create a folder at C:\HJT and move HijackThis.exe there. Run a scan and save the log file. Post the whole log file here. Do not fix anything since most of them listed there are harmless (some are system required). This program will help us determine if there is any spyware/malware on your computer.

This thread will be moved to the HijackThis category.
