Problems with IE

Recently I was working on a client's website when I was informed by the client that their FTP access had been hacked and their site was now giving people viruses. I looked at the source code and found a reference to an external location in an IFRAME.

I thought I was ok because my virus scanners caught nothing, but now I get 'This application has failed to start because msvcrl.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem.' when I try to start IE...and my internet connection is running nasty slow.
