Need Help with my work Laptop
OK guys I need some serious help. I was messing around at work and download a crack to an app, I knew better but I clicked the crack.exe and as soon as I did that my norton became disable and network services called me and said to pull my box off the network because it had a virus. So I loaded avast and it found a virus and cleaned it off. I then have ran adware, pestpatrol, ewido, Housecall( but will never finishn and closes IE), cwshredder ,Avast anitspyware and tons of other but all detect something different but none fix the problem. I really cannot afford to reload this laptop. I have 30 gigs worth of stuff on it and have no where to back it up. When I boot up with no internet connection something caused my laptop to pop up and ask do you want to connect online or work off line. So something is trying to go out to the internet. Also when I do a scan with avast it gives a blue screen of death and crashes. I have since loaded mcafee and it also detected and cleaned but the laptop is running very slow and I have multiple pop up when running IE. I am a tech support manager and I do not know what else to try. Please help. I have attached my Hi-Jackthislog.

Hello xjohnholmes and welcome to TSF,
Please copy this page to Notepad and save to your desktop for reference as you will not have any browsers open while you are carrying out these instructions. It is IMPORTANT that you don't miss a step & perform everything in the correct order/sequence. *************************************************** Download and install CleanUp! but do not run it yet. (Not Recommended for XP64). Download combofix from one of these locations:
Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall *************************************************** Please disable the following program(s) as they may interfere with the fixes below. You may re-enable them when we are through cleaning your system: Windows Defender:
----------------------------------- Please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following: 1) Restart your computer 2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8. 3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear 4) Use the up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode and press Enter. 5) Login with your usual account. Make sure to close any open browsers. ----------------------------------- Open HijackThis and click on 'Do a System Scan Only'. Check the following entries if they exist (make sure you do not miss any) R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing O3 - Toolbar: ToolBar888 - {C004DEC2-2623-438e-9CA2-C9043AB28508} - C:\Program Files\Common Files\{309FE175-07CD-1033-0907-040408160001}\MyToolBar.dll (file missing) O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [satsgdh.dll] C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\satsgdh.dll,phmfx Click 'Fix Checked' and close HijackThis. ----------------------------------- *WARNING* Cleanup deletes EVERYTHING out of temp/temporary folders and does not make backups. If you have any documents or programs that are saved in any Temporary Folders, please make a backup of these before running CleanUp! or move them to a permanent location. Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu). Set the program up as follows: *Click "Options..." *Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!" *Put a check next to the following:
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program. Reboot/logoff when prompted. ----------------------------------- Reboot into Normal Mode. ----------------------------------- Perform an online scan using Internet Explorer with Panda ActiveScan ** click on "Free use ActiveScan" located on the top right hand corner
----------------------------------- Run comobfix.exe once again. ----------------------------------- Please include the following in your next reply, in the following order: ComboFix2.txt Panda results ComboFix.txt New HijackThis log |
