Some App. Suddenly Can't Access the Internet

Hi,

In the last few days, I have the following app. suddenly paralyzed
(i.e. cannot establish a connection to the Internet):
- Yahoo Messenger v7.50
- Good Keywords
- Microsoft Antispyware (cannot update)
- CWShredder (cannot update)
while I can surf the web, chat on mIRC, etc. with no hassle.

I have scanned 'n cleaned my PC using these security app.
(all with their latest definition):
- AdAware SE Personal
- Spybot S & D
- ETRemover
- ScanSpyware
- Ewido Security Suite
- McAffee Antispyware
- NOD32
and still the problem persists (those 1st list of app. can't
connect to the Internet).

I'm on Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1.
About a week ago, I installed the Service Pack 2 but due to
some serious inconvenience (some hardware drivers are not
compatible to it), I have uninstalled it immediately.

Is there any correlation between the problem 'n SP2 uninstallation?
Anybody knows how to overcome this?

Thank's in advance,
t_kio
