Norton Internet Security Product Editions Confusion
Symantec's support website (http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/hom...tml?src=hho_us) for Norton Internet Security Product Editions lists the following versions (or releases)...
2006 2005 AntiSpyware Edition 2005 2004 Professional 2004 I am sort of used to there being some sort of sense as to the naming of the product editions (like with most other software)...I always just assume when something says "professional" ...or.... "enterprise" ...."or crazy uber ultimate" that those are the high-end offerings... I usually also assume, that with yearly (or so) releases, that the newer ones are more up-to-date, streamlined, better interface, more functionality, and learned form the flaws of the earlier ones, and furthermore, include goodness from earlier versions. I guess my question is: Are there some features in NIS 2004 Pro that can't for example be found in the NIS 2006? And if so, why? And how is NIS 2005 Anti Spyware Edition different from NIS 2006 ? Does the 2006 one have these anti spyware capabilities, or are they just simply left out? Why can't Norton make the labling of their products more clear? Arrrggghhhh... |
