new computer security

hey guys umm i just paid 2grand USD for a alienware laptop and i do not want it to get infected anytime soon so i want the best possible free security programs for my laptop the only thing i do not want is avg please help me i should get the laptop by fedex either tomorrow or the next day thansk guys

For a firewall i would use a router and for outbound protection if you want it zonealarm. For a antivirus there is avast i think, im not sure of many since i use AVG.

Kaspersky is excellent, but not free, which is what Sherlock19 was asking about.

NOD32 by Eset is another excellent pay-for solution.
