AOL/Security
Recently I received an email on aol from someone I know (not from their aol account), & I asked about it; they not only said they hadn't sent it, they accused me of sending it (to myself, as if I was them (I barely understand that "logic" myself)).
Yesterday I checked my AOL spam folder and had e-mails from me, to me, dated the same as the one I thought came from that person...they of course weren't from me (I assume if I did send my self a note via my aol account, it wouldn't go to spam?), and I don't understand what's going on. In the past, I have received emails from this person's aol account that were not too nice, and they denied they had sent them. These emails from them never had the line "sent from the internet" below the heading, although the fake one from myself to myself, that I just found in spam, does. (I realized I shouldn't have opened that one, probably). I am not sure what's going on here. Any advice would be great (get rid of aol-I know!). |
