Evil panda scan

Hi anyone know why panda scan wont work /
It goes through the process and then asks you what part of the computer you want to scan. which I pick c:My Computer but it just wont start it stays on zero scan ?

I have used this programme many times, but I have tried to use it about 4 times over the last couple of days with no luck ??
Any ideas ?
Thanks

Did you try to use it in safe mode ? The update might have a problem.

Uninstall the active scan via add/remove software under your control panel.
C:\windows\downloaded program files ===> remove activescan installer class if still there.

Also I would recommend you to use it in safe mode.

Evil Another problem ? Panda scan

Hi I done as you said, but not in safe mode.
I have Avast anti virus security.

This warning came up and asked me to abort connection to panda scan.

File Name : http://acs.pandasoftware.com/actives...motor.cab\pska

Malware name : win32:ctx

Maleware type : virus worm

I dont understand why I am getting this on panda scan, or is it that I have already this on my computer and it is attaching itself to my connections ?

Thanks

Cry bootsafe ?

Hi I just tried to use bootsafe.
I had to download a programme called bootsafe.exe as I dont seem to have access to bootsafe via my computer, not sure why but has been like this for ages.
Anyways I have used the programme before about three months ago (bootsafe.exe) but now when I try to use it , whether it is boot in safe mode with or without internet connection, it just reboots in normal mode.
Not sure why but I cant actually do anything in safe mode ?

It just gets worse.

1- Cant you boot into the safe mode ?

Did you try tapping on f8 button during start up to get to the boot options ? If you are not able to catch it : Try start >> run >> msconfig. under boot.ini check safeboot and check network right next to it and reboot. The windows should start in the safe mode. WARNING : If you have an OS problem and can not boot in to the safe mode reversing this action might be a little painful. To reverse it simply run msconfig and under boot.ini uncheck the safeboot option.

2- Did you try disabling avast and running pandascan ?

I believe its time for you to do some clean up. Your problems are probably malware related. Please click here and follow the instructions.

Be sure to follow Purple Sky's instruction before you run your first scan.
  1. Double-click on the file you just downloaded.
  2. If it gives you an intro screen, Select - Do a system scan and save a logfile.
  3. If you don't get the intro screen, Press Scan and then click on Save log.
  4. Post the HiJackThis log file, including the header information, back into this thread.
