Did you try uninstall/reinstall mcafee yet ? In most cases this is the ultimate solution for mcafee. But mcafee usually does major changes in the system that do not get off your system by uninstallation. I would first try uninstalling and reinstalling mcafee. If the problem persists we may need to manually remove or edit some files to fix the corruption.
If it was myself i would not use mcafee at all. I would remove it and use the free instances of an antivirus and firewall and an antispyware software along with ewido and spybot which i would use to do regular scans with. Also I would like to say the best antivirus/firewall/antispyware is YOU. I would read this tutorial from greyknight first. keep us updated. Regards. |
