Verisign ?
I sign into a secure website with a verisign certificate it showed the padlock on the browser.Well my question is once I did sign in my browser switch screens and the padlock was still there but had a slash thru it. So my question really is what does the slash mean
I click on it and it read the same with or without the slash. Thanks in advance!! |

I would think that the site is displaying both secure and nonsecure items.
Be sure you're really at the site you think you are. If the browser is making a secure connection and determines that ANYTHING might not be coming across the same HTTPS connection, it will throw an error. In IE, the padlock will disappear and you get the "This page contains secure and non-secure items". In Firefox, the padlock has a diagonal slash through it.
