Norton Virus Scan

After running the virus scan, it listed 5 at risk files and suggested that I delete them. After clicking on the delete button, a red delete fa... appeared to the right of each file. The delete button at the bottom chaged to exclude ,
I am unable to delete the files. I ran the virus scan again about 8 hours later and had the same results. Anyone have an idea why this is happening or how to get around it?

Norton Virus Scan

Teton Bob,
The files are all listed as adware, specifically:00009540.DLL adware180 Soluti,
00009584.DLL adware180 Soluti, 00009942.EXE adware Zango SE, DE14034.tmp adware Zango SE, ppg6280.tmp adware 180 Soluti.

In the last scan I did this morning, the only one that showed up was the last one ppg6280 adware 180Soluti. I was able to delete the DE 14034.tmp last night which may have accouted for the others not showing up this morning but I really don't know.

Hi Tower -

Those adwares can be addressed by following the link PurpleSky indicated.

Please follow MicroBell's 5 Step process outlined here

After running through all the steps, please download HijackThis - this program will help us determine if there are any spyware/malware on your computer. Double-click on the file you just downloaded.
Click on the "Unzip" button to install. It will by default install to the directory - C:\PROGRAM FILES\HIJACKTHIS\

Double click on HijackThis.exe to run the program.

1. If it gives you an intro screen, just choose 'Do a system scan and save a logfile'.
2. If you don't get the intro screen, just hit Scan and then click on Save log.
3. Post the hijackthis.log file in the HijackThis Log Help forum. Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless.
