Being scanned/hacked?

I was on Morpheus about a week ago downloading a film when all of a sudden my Norton was going mad, blocked intrusions every ten seconds, a little java applet popped up in the bottom right corner (but I was on some websites at the time, may have been to do with those). But I was shitting myself becuase I though perhaps the police were scanning me because I do download and burn a lot of films from Morpheus. What you think? I havent had any phone calls or visits from the police yet, but I havent dared download any since. I also noticed a log saying something about WAN, but I dont have wan so what's all that about?

I dont have a WAN network installed...
