Losing hope! Can anyone please help?!?!

PLEASE!!!!!!!!
I have tried to get help on this problem for 3 days now with no solutions. So your help will be most appricated!! The problem is I can not get online on one of the three screen names on my comp. we have WinXP 2002 service pack2
When I try to log on to my SBC homepage it starts to load the stops and I get a box asking if I want to send a report. There is also a "click here" to see
report. Which says the report includes C:\DOCUME~1\David\LOCALS~\Temp.\2742.-appcompat.txt I have tried to log on several times when I check the error report everthing stays the same except the number. I tried different spy ware removal programs, Cleanup, deleting temp. files, I have a HJT log.that I have been told looks "ok". Can anyone help?
Please let me know if I have left anything out.

now try this and see if this helps,

put your windows xp cd in the dvd/cdrom. then click on start -> run -> and then type in "sfc /scannow" without the "" and then it should repair system files. after the process is done, try to go online again and see if the solution ive provided fixed your problem.

Try getting online with Internet Explorer and not with that ridiculous Yahoo browser they want you to install.

No disrespect, but what is that going to help? I am not very sharp with comps. But the point is to fix this so I can continue to use my SBC account I have had for years. Again I may be misunderstanding what you are saying, and I dont mean to offend. Thank you for your reply! I do appreciate the help!!
Thanks
