Spyware Doctor freezes at 'Fix Checked'

When I run a full system scan on Spyware Doctor, it works fine until I try to 'Fix Checked', and then my desktop and taskbar disappears. I tried ctrl+alt+del and it showed that Spyware Doctor was not responding. I thus had to end task. This does not happen when I do a quick scan on Spyware Doctor. The number of infections found was 2185. Help! I paid for Spyware Doctor and don't want my money to go to waste if the infections can't be deleted!

I forgot to add that this happens every single time I do a full system scan.

Boot into Safe Mode by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode, then hit enter.
