Ewido free??

I read somewhere on here that Ewido becomes free after the trial period, but I've installed it on a few systems and that doesn't seem to be the case. Do I need to do something in particular to keep it running?

My personal experience with Ewido is this:

I installed it several months ago, version 3.5, which I believe is still the current version.

I chose to install the Background Guard at that time, and the Guard expired after 14 days. The auto update feature no longer works. It no longer resides in Systray. I can, however, still open Ewido and use the built-in Update feature, and it still works. I'm updating now. You can also visit the site and download the definitions and manually install them.

This is the case with several apps....only the real-time protection features will become disabled after the trial period passes.
