Working on someone's PC and want to install a free anti-virus program...what's the best way to go?

I would also recommend AVG as well as these other programs...

Personally, I view the firewall as a MUST in today's environment as well -- any of the ones in the post above will do. ( I use Zone Alarm with AVG)
An anti-spyware program or 2 is also a big help-- otherwise it'll clog up with trash real fast even with the firewall/antivirus defenses. The best defense is a good OFFENSE...
