Crashes, caused by virus?

Hello, I have Win XP and Panda Antivirus Titanium 2005. And i found 4 infected files and panda said it was cleaned. And then i ran spybot S&D and fixed all problems... Including those "BackWeb" whatever spyware.... and then i keep getting runtime errors: backweb.... whenever my computer restarts... I don't get why spyware thats been removed still has this error message coming up...

Anyway, my game keeps crashing, constantly, i installed latest drivers and still no difference. And I tried updating my windows, and found out that there is no way to install SP 2 into my XP.... because it fails to install it every single time.

Also i've noticed my internet keeps "skipping" or "lagging" after i installed the ATI driver CATALYST and attempted to manually download Win XP and install that.

But it still crashes... and i still cant install, and im 90% sure its a virus, because these things never use to happen before.
