partmgr.sys errors/blue screen of death
I'm not sure if this is a security issue or an XP issue. XP will not loan when turn desktop on, sticks on Dell screen and giving either F2 or F12 option only. When choose F12, receive blue screen of death stating error in partmgr.sys and will not load Windows. Error says to disable BIOS in safe mode. Tried to get into safe mode and then get error that hard disk cannot be found. A few other times it did read hard drive but still would not loan. Unsure what to do at this point and still unsure if this is a system error or virus. Saw a couple sites that are showing this as a virus. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
