Regarding Kaspersky Anti virus

Hi,

We are using Kaspersky Anti virus.

Kaspersky Anti virus File Server is running in Windows XP installed system.

System Spec:
Brand: Compaq Presario
RAM: 2GB
Processor: Intel P4 3Ghz
HDD: 80+160+250GB
Kaspersky Admin Kit: Version: 8.0.2048
kaspersky Anti Virus: 6.0.4.1212

This system is restarting for every 2 to 3 hours once. I checked with event viewer. It's showing the error of: FCB::RemoveAlternateStreams: Operating system error 6(The handle is invalid.) occurred while creating or opening file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\KAV.mdf'. Diagnose and correct the operating system error, and retry the operation.

My question is can we use Kaspersky Anti Virus File Server in Windows XP? or we have to use this in Windows 2003 Server? Why the above error is showing again and again?

is there any solution for this in Windows XP? or we have to change the OS to Win 2003 Server?

Re: Regarding Kaspersky Anti virus

Hello slkamath,

I would recommend McAfee Total Propection Service (Firewall,Anti-malware/Anti-Virus) for servers and client computers. It is very reasonable as well. Pls. check out the link. http://www.mcafee.com/us/medium/prod...n_service.html
Just be careful when you install the entire package in your servers, you'll have issue in the Firewall, unselect the Firewall option during installation.

Re: Regarding Kaspersky Anti virus

File Server versions seem to be for Server OS.

As to your error message, I don't have an answer. I mostly support home user machines.

Have you contacted Kaspersky Support with your issue? It is after all a paid application. I presume this comes with corporate support.

Also, there's a dedicated Kaspersky product forum

Re: Regarding Kaspersky Anti virus

Thanks for your kind help.

I contacted Kaspersky also. As per the Forum so many users told that they are also facing same problem.

No one has given solution in that. Once again i thankful to you for your kind help.
