[SOLVED] External hard drive secure?
Hi guys.
![]() I have just recovered my system from a serious security breach. My other post. And I had to re-install xp. My question is: Can I safely plug my external hard drive back in to my computer? I did scan the drive before i formatted my hard computer. But my system was in termoil and i am not sure i can trust AVG's findings. I now have mcafee installed on my computer. The reason i ask, is because i managed to infect my lap top with the same virus i had on my computer with a flash drive . I am hoping the virus was more interseted in my C:drive and not hidden itself in there somewhere in my external HD. My external HD has all my photos music ect on it 250gb worth and i really dont wanna lose it.I am aware where i got the virus from and i have learned a valuable lesson with my computer but i dont want it at the cost of all my personal (un backed up) stuff
